Black Hill

At 703 m (2,308 ft) high , Black Mountain, also known as Twyn Llech, is the highest point within the Black Mountains in the county of Herefordshire. It is also the only Marilyn to straddle the Welsh- English border.

The summit can be reached by passing along part of Offa’s Dyke, the long-distance trail that roughly follows the border between England and Wales. The summit is unmarked but falls on open access land thus allowing deviation from the path. The ground is peaty and remains very wet in good conditions.
