Ben Lomond
At 974 m (3,196 ft), Ben Lomond is located in the Scottish Highlands in the county of Stirlingshire. It sits on the eastern shore of Loch Lomond, located in the Trossachs National Park, an area rich in wildlife and a popular leisure destination.
It is one of the more popular Munros with an estimated 30,000 people ascending the mounting each year. The West Highland Way, long distance trail runs along the western side of the mountain.
The easiest way to summit Ben Lomond follows the ‘tourist path’, an eroded trail, paved on the steeper sections. The start point is located in Rowardenan car park.
