Blackhope Scar
Blackhope Scar has an elevation of 651 m (2,135 ft). It is the highest point in the county of Midlothian. The hill is situated in the Moorfoot Hills, a range of hills located to the south of Edinburgh. The government has designated this section as a Special Area of Conservation.
A popular route to the summit can be found from the nearby Gladhouse Reservoir. A trig point is situated at the top of the hill next to a fence.
