Cheeks Hill
Cheeks Hill stands at 520 m (1,706 ft); it is the highest point in the county of Shropshire. The hill lies on Axe Edge Moor, a substantial area of moorland located southwest of Buxton in the Peak District. It constitutes some of the most rugged countryside to be found in the Midlands.
The walk to the top can be made from the village of Flash. In good visibility, the summit provides striking views over the Cheshire plain and as far as The Wrekin hill in East Shropshire. Close to the summit, a dry-stone wall can be found marking the Staffordshire – Derbyshire border.
