Ward Hill
With an elevation of 481 m (1,578 ft), Ward Hill is the highest point in Hoy, an island located in Orkney. Lying on the north of Hoy island, the hill forms a curved ridge. The lower slopes are covered in sandy soil and littered with small stones.
You can reach the summit from Moaness Pier, the location from which the ferry crossing arrives from Stromness. A trig point crowns the top and offers great views over the Orkney’s.
